Home Sweet Home

After a marathon of house hunting, we found a house on 14310 Empire Heights Court in the Longwood subdivision in Cypress that we're really excited about! We accepted a counter-offer from the seller yesterday and are happy with where we landed. The house has a lot going for it right off the bat and also has a lot of potential in terms of what we could do with a kitchen overhaul, paint, landscaping and some new carpet. It's located on the edge of a cul-de-sac on a "no outlet" street, so there will be no through traffic, which we're looking forward to. From our visits there, we've eyeballed a number of children around as well, so hopefully the kids will have a number of built in playmates. Of course none of this registers with Ella yet, but Duncan is really excited about the new house. He's already picked out which bedroom will be his and what color he wants to paint it! Now, if we could only teach him how to reliably work a paint brush and some paint...
