Kung Fu Panda at the Drive In

We went to see Kung Fu Panda at the Showboat Drive In Theater last night with a bunch of our neighbors and their kids. For 3 of the 4 of us in our family, the drive in was a completely new experience. Apparently this is a pretty popular place, because we got there well over an hour before the movie started and still ended up pretty close to the back. Once the movie got going, Duncan really seemed to enjoy it and also knocking around w/the other neighbor kids we were there with. Ella was a bit indifferent, but tolerated the movie pretty well since she could bounce around in the car some. The drive home, however, was another story altogether since the kids were both wiped - Ella cried the whole way home and Duncan fell asleep (lucky kid).

The movie itself was really cute and we will probably try the drive in again someday - it was pretty fun after all. But, we will probably need to wait until Ella gets a little bit older. Lesson learned!
