Play Ball!

Duncan has been asking to try baseball for quite some time, so we finally decided to give it a try this spring. His team - the Sea Dogs - has already started practice and they had their second batting practice today. While this is his first attempt (and clearly many of the other kids have played before), we're hoping that since he's a pretty athletically inclined kid, Duncan will pick it up pretty quickly. Fortunately, this year the league still does coach-pitch baseball. Next year the kids start pitching to each other.

We also got lucky in that Duncan has had this same head coach (Coach Padfield) before, only he coached Duncan in soccer. He was the absolute best coach Duncan has had yet - very positive, well-organized, patient, and a great teacher. We're so excited he can be on his team again!

So far, Duncan is having a blast. As soon as we get a game schedule I'll try to post it in case anyone is interested in coming to see a game. :)
