Camp Honey Creek

Anne, Ella and I had a blast this past weekend going to Camp Honey Creek for one of their Mother/Daughter Weekends. The camp does 3 of these weekends throughout April and May and uses them in part as a recruiting event for new campers as well as an opportunity for current campers and their moms to get away and relax.

We took enjoyed a number of different activities - archery, shooting BB guns, riding horses, and swimming. We also had fun getting caught up with old camp friends and visiting with the staff, who are the same folks that were running the camp when Anne and I were young. They're such a great bunch. And, we officially went on record with them asking that they NOT retire until after Ella has a chance to get through camp there. Fortunately, no one has any plans to.

It was a lovely long weekend, and we're already looking forward to going back next year. Ella can't wait until she's older so she can go for a long time and on her own. With the way time is flying these days, I bet that moment will be here before we know it.

Looks like everyone had a great time! I especially love the picture of Ella on horseback! I bet she is counting the days until she can be a camper!
