Bits, Bytes and Bots

Duncan is getting his turn at after-school enrichment programs at River Ridge this winter/spring by taking a class called Bits, Bytes and Bots. In this class, the kids explore both computer game creation and robotics.

They had their first class yesterday, and he absolutely loved it. They started creating their own video game, which he should be able to take home on a CD with him when the course ends. Eventually, they will work to create and program a robot (Lego Mindstorms NTX).

Duncan was so excited about this class when he came home yesterday. I can't wait to see what he develops over the course of the next few months!
