We had a WONDERFUL treat this past week - we had a visit from the Jordans! To add a little color to how wonderful it was to see them, Ani and I have been fortunate enough to be friends since college, beginning almost on the first day of school when we got in trouble for talking too much during English class. So we've been friends for quite some time - through college, the single life afterwards, on into marriage and kids - definitely long enough to know where many of the bones are buried, lol.
While we talk on the phone with some frequency, this was the first time we've laid eyes on each other in 7 years. And if you know our family or hers, a lot has happened in the last 7 years. It was a real treat to meet her youngest, Alex, and see how much sweet Evan has grown. She has such a wonderful family.
Our kids really enjoyed meeting and playing with them. While their visit was about 48 hours long, we were able to pack in quite a bit, lugging everyone around to Ski Shores, the pool, Zilker Park, The County Line and even on a fossil hunt!
It was a real treat to get to see them all. We will definitely make sure that we don't let another 7 years go by before we see them again!

We loved seeing you guys; it was such a treat for all of us! Gosh, I have tears in my eyes from reading your sweet post. Thanks for a WONDERFUL 48 hours! Can't wait to do it again! Maybe 60 hours or more next time? :)
