It may have technically been the first day of fall, but fortunately in Texas, that doesn't always mean a lot in terms of the weather. While we got a "cool front" earlier this week, it was still in the upper 80s today, which was perfect weather to head to what the kids affectionately call The Beach.
The Beach is an area of Lake Travis that when full, does not exist. However, now that the lake is currently at 1/3 its typical volume, there's a ton of beach. The kids love going and could easily spend hours there. They had a great time building sand castles, swimming, throwing the football around and getting buried in the sand (thanks Joanna!). They also enjoyed a great ride in the tube behind the boat (thanks Anne!).
