Soccer Game #2

The Tigers had a great game today tying the other team 2-2. The other team was a lot tougher (and rougher) than many of the teams that Duncan's crew has played in the past. As a result, the Tigers had to work extra hard for each goal that they earned.

Duncan scored one of the two goals for the team. His goal was particularly rewarding since he had gotten justifiably (at least in my opinion) frustrated with all of the pushing and shoving that was being dished out by the other team - especially since they weren't getting called out on it. Despite his frustration, Duncan continued to work hard and managed to get one by the goalie.

I was really proud of how well he did today - and not so much because he scored a goal, but more because he didn't give up, and you could tell he was tempted to. He got a frustrating, yet exciting introduction to the rewards of perseverance today. It was awesome.
