Princess Birthday Party

So Ella went to a birthday party today that one might describe as "over the top". You literally had to pick my jaw up off the floor with some of the stuff these people did for their 3-year-old.

First of all, to set the stage, the whole house was COVERED in princess decor, white lights and bunting as well as flowers. You literally could not turn your head without seeing something that Disney produced.

The party started with crown decorating, then kicked it up a notch with a visit from "Cinderella" herself. Cinderella then proceeded to make balloon animals and paint faces. As soon as that was over, her carriage arrived (almost identical to the picture above, except covered in flowers) and the kids all got to take rides around the neighborhood with her in it. Ella's timing was impeccable as she somehow managed to get two rides.

After that was over, everyone then proceeded inside to have cake and ice cream. Most people would consider that to be the end, but no. They they pulled out a pinata and let the kids go after it. After that, I cried uncle and we left.

And don't mistake my awe as complaining necessarily - especially since Ella had such a wonderful time. What I do wonder, though, is if you do all of this for this little girl when she turns 3, what do you do to top it when she turns 4????
