As a special treat, I took Duncan and his friend Bryce over to the Blue Bell Ice Creamery in Brenham this morning. While there, we went on a tour of the facility and got to see how they make everything from Homemade Vanilla ice cream to popsicles to ice cream sandwiches. On the tour, we learned some interesting ice cream trivia:- it takes 50,000 cows to make one day's worth of ice cream
- they make 120 ice cream sandwiches every 2 seconds
- the employees literally do eat all they can and sell the rest. Apparently, per our tour guide, they are allowed to eat as much ice cream as they want while at work. We even saw the policy in action as we headed past the employee break room!
The tour ended with a stop in the parlor where we were given a scoop of ice cream - the perfect way to cap off the trip to the Creamery!

What a fun tour! Will grew up with Blue Bell, but I'd never had it until we moved to GA (now I see why on the territories map). His favorite is the blueberry cheesecake, but it is seasonal and I've only found it once. Any tips?
Looks like from their website that it's a "rotational flavor".

They also say on that page that you can check the "This Month's Flavor" link to see if it should be available. If it's theoretically available per Blue Bell but not at your store, you should be able to ask the store manager to order some.
I've done that before - not w/Blue Bell - but had them order stuff for me. Basically if they know they'll sell it, they'll order it.
Good luck!!
Awesome! I just printed two coupons AND Blueberry Cheesecake is the flavor of the month in Sept. I'll need to talk to my grocery folks. Thanks for the lead! :) Will is going to be ecstatic!
