Our street held its annual Back to School Bash for the kids yesterday. From the looks of the kids, you'd never know it was 100+ degrees out. They had a blast sliding on the water slides, digging into snow cones and eating all of the fabulous food that everyone brought. The looks of the parents might have given away the temperature though. :)
In all seriousness, we actually had a nice time as well. The heat was nothing that a few floor fans, pop up tents and icy adult beverages couldn't fix. And of course, we really enjoyed everyone's company. It's hard to believe the kids start school tomorrow!
