Decorating Gingerbread Houses

As a special Christmas treat, we took the kids to a gingerbread house decorating class at Central Market. We had originally intended to take all three kids, but Ella Peyton picked up a bug and was unable to go.

So, Anne Teel and I took the boys and had a blast! Stuart and I worked on his house together. Technically, kids are supposed to be 5 to take the class, but knowing Stuart like we do, we figured he would probably do just great, and he did. He LOVED decorating the house and was all over it, the whole time. Literally, he was on task almost the entire 2 hours we were there. It was awesome.

This was the second time Duncan got to go (we went last year with the older kids), and I'm not sure who was more into it, Duncan or his aunt. I think with their house they ended up with all kids of crazy features - a pool, walkway, etc. There was some major decorating going on over there.

Stuart spied Santa down below. :)

The finished work!

This is Ella Peyton's friend Neva who also went to the class. She was a good sport and chatted with Stuart quite a bit. He definitely thought she was pretty great.

And not to get completely left out, Ella Peyton decorated a house that evening after we got home. They allowed us to take her house and a slew of candy home so she could decorate there.
