Ready for Winter

So Ella has decided she is ready for winter now.

Long story short, Duncan and I ran to the outlet mall last night to find some new shoes for him for the beginning of school. I also found a good deal on some winter shoes for Ella, so we picked up some shoes for her as well.

Ella ran across those shoes this morning and in an effort to help set her expectations about when she was going to wear them (i.e. not today), I told her they were for when it was going to be cold outside.


She said ok, but said she still wanted to wear them. Once she got them on, she decided she needed a hat as well (and apparently so did her dad), and then declared she was ready for winter. With the heat as bad as it's been lately, I can't say that I blame her!
