San Antonio

We headed to San Antonio for a long weekend this weekend for a little fun before spring break ended. We were there during Duncan's birthday, and spent the majority of that day at Sea World, which was a first for all of us. It was a lot of fun, but VERY busy. As people who don't do huge crowds for extended periods of time, we ended up calling it quits by mid-afternoon. That said, we really enjoyed it while we were there. We all got to feed the dophins, visit the aquarium, ride some rides and see a show.

We also took the kids to the River Walk and the Alamo - two musts if you're ever in San Antonio. The River Walk was also packed, but beautiful. The traffic at the Alamo was a bit lighter, so we got to spend a bit of time there. That place, although touristy, always fascinates me. It makes me want to go brush back up on my Texas history. Kathryn Respess (my 7th grade Texas history teacher) would feel such a sense of accomplishment by that statement. But, I digress...

Anyway, it was nice to have the time to run around San Antonio for a little while. The kids really enjoyed it. Maybe this summer we can go back for a day or so when we head to the Hill Country.... hmmm.....
