The fifth grade class at River Ridge went on their annual field trip to Sea World this past week. At the request of my eldest, I volunteered to chaperone the trip. Apparently there have never been as many parent volunteers as there were this year, so we were each given only a small number of kids to keep an eye out for. I only had Duncan and one other kid (Michael). Another mom friend of mine also went (and Duncan and her son are friends), so we ended up hanging out all day together with our two groups.
Needless to say, the boys had a great time. They went to two shows (which was required for class), went on one of the rides, checked out the exhibits, and hung out in the arcade.
They were all hot, sweaty and wiped by the end of the day, but it was well worth it. Word on the street is that next year's field trip is to Fiesta Texas. They're already looking forward to it!
