Today was a day filled with kayaking and fishing.Duncan and I started off the day kayaking from the house down to the Hunt Crossing. We got to see a slew of beautiful houses and all of the activity at Camp La Junta for boys.
Jeff kayaked into unchartered territory (or at least unchartered to us). He put in just up from Camp Mystic and went all the way down to the house - which is about 4 miles. The picture above was taking just west of Camp Heart of the Hills. He reported that the river he saw on his trip today was the most beautiful part of the river he's ever seen. I can't wait to check it out myself soon. Maybe I can talking my sister into going... :)
Both of the kids enjoyed fishing with their grandparents. Duncan got to use a REAL fishing rod that his grandfather brought him. Ella also got to use a new fishing pole. She and her JuJu probably spent well over an hour breaking it in (which by the way, for a 2-year-old is huge!).
PS, I added a few pictures to the set in the previous posting in case you'd like to see some shots of Jeffrey in action.
