Ella had her first dentist appointment today. She was very brave and let them do pretty much everything they were wanting to do. And when I say brave, I really mean brave. When I checked on her in the back at one point, she was in the chair getting her teeth cleaned and clenching onto the arms of the chair with both hands. She was clearly uneasy about it all.
The dentist and hygenist bragged on her quite a bit, which was a huge help. They even gave her 2 toothbrushes and a toy camera from the toy chest. Hopefully she'll remember that when we go back in a few months!

Fancy pants! That looks like a nice dental office! Good job on your first visit, Ella!
Parents are not allowed in the back at our pediatric dentist's office. This makes me a little uneasy, but Ive been assured that the kids are better behaved when the parents are not there. (They told me that before Evan kicked the hygienist last year! Wonder what notes are in his file?) :)
They told me the same thing about kids behaving better when the parents aren't there - although they did invite me back to peek on her if I wanted.
Fortunately, the office is small enough that I can typically hear most of what they're saying from the front. Almost makes me feel bad for the hygenists who gets their ears talked off!
