It was a big day in our house yesterday. Not only did I quit my job (and mind you I haven't left a job in 13 years), but we put the house on the market. Yes, we are moving to Austin. I've accepted an offer with Dell and will be working in their healthcare marketing group. Healthcare is a big investment area for them right now, as with other technology companies, and the team there seems very sharp. I'm looking forward to learning a lot from and working with that group.
We're hoping to get the house sold and into a new one by the fall. Fortunately, my new job is a telecommuting job, so I can do it from wherever. So, no rush on the move. But, it would be nice to get the kids settled before the new school year if we can. Also on the upside, with the change in territories last fall, Jeffrey's territory now includes Austin (and oddly enough not Houston), so it will be a better situation for him as well. The move will allow him to travel less and be home more. I know at least four people who are really excited about the that thought.

Yes - this past week was my week "between jobs", so no major work related responsibilities for me - yippee! Would love to figure out a way to be off all the time, but keep my income the same. LOL
