Easter Traditions

The kids had fun today observing a couple of annual Easter traditions today- egg dying and hunting.

Jeffrey and I joined Ella and Duncan in the egg dying process this afternoon during nap time. Despite Paas' best effort to jazz up the egg decorating process with stickers, glitter and shrink wraps, we decided to go old school and just dip them in dye. That was plenty complex for my way of thinking!

The kids did an egg hunt this evening with three other neighborhood families. It was a riot seeing them all run around like chickens with their heads cut off trying to get the most eggs - especially the older ones. You'd have thought those eggs were filled with $100 bills. Unfortunately for them, no such luck. Fortunately for us, they're still content with a few starburst and some bubble gum.
