Ella Peyton's team, Toronto, won their game this morning 2 - 0! The girls played a great game and demonstrated some wonderful teamwork, with a handful of intentional passes. May not seem like a big deal, but it's exciting to see them begin to think somewhat strategically about where the ball should be, who is in a good position to receive the pass and then be able to actually get the ball where they want it to be. There were definitely some big steps taken today.
And in today's cheering section, we have Katie Pavlovsky and her son John! Katie and I became friends instantly when we met at Rice about 15 years ago. She and John made their first roadtrip this weekend, and we were fortunate enough to be the first stop. He is SUCH a sweet baby - so relaxed and laid back and full of smiles. It was so good to see them and we're admittedly already looking forward to their next trip next month.
